Oct 16, 2018 The Chiappa M1-9 runs the economical 9mm Parabellum cartridge and is a great option for the collector on a budget. Be a converted Glock 17.Note I agree the M1carbine feels handy, but so does the Ruger Mini-14/Mini-30. Or Marlin 99M1 22 LR! I recall that someone triedapparently unsuccessfullyto convert M1 carbines to 44Magor was it 45Mag. The M1-22 and M1 Carbine can be placed within the M1-9 stock with minor adjustments. The action of the M1-9 carbine will not fit an M1 Carbine stock without significant alterations. As with the Chiappa M1-22 stock, the cut of the slingwell of the M1-9 stock is inadequate for use with a sling and oiler. The area outlined in black approximates. Aug 20, 2017 I first came across the Chiappa Little Badger survival rifle in a magazine a few months ago, and distinctly recall thinking to myself, “I’m not sure how useful that would be but it sure.

Chiappa M1 22 Magazine
I finally received my M1-22 back from Chiappa service on Friday, August 3rd.
They replaced the barrel liner with a new one featuring a proper fully supported chamber. Hopefully it will now shoot safely and reliably.
I do have a huge gripe- The factory defective chamber caused the cartridge detonation that destroyed one of my two factory magazines. I carefully detailed this in my letter in the box- with the destroyed mag and also in my email to Chiappa. Guess what, Chiappa chose to send me back my destroyed magazine and NO REPLACEMENT. I think this is pretty darned lame. They say by shooting it with the defective chamber, the damage is my fault!
Their dangerous, defective rifle design caused the damage. They never issued an official recall of the rifles. They never informed the dealers that were selling the early rifles of the defect. How the heck is the blown mag my fault when the only way I found out their was a defect is when the cartridge blew-up just like several hundred other early owners.
One thing for certain- I am never purchasing another Chiappa, Citadel or Legacy Sports product!
